I did forget to mention that this entire story came from a crazy dream I had one night. :) Hope you are all having a wonderful day!!
She felt that all was lost when suddenly out of the bushes jumped a cat. It ran past Rosanna and screeched out a horrid sound when the guard clomped his huge foot on the poor cat’s paw.
She felt sorry for it but she was thankful for the distraction which allowed her enough time to get away.
She followed the castle wall until she ran past it and into the woods where she paused to catch her breath. It would take something much swifter than her own two feet to get her safely away from the castle.
Rosanna decided that the best way to do this was to go into the village and take one of the stable horses
When Rosanna reached the village, everything was quiet except for a few rambunctious dogs, but besides that there was nobody on the streets.
It wasn't that difficult to spot the stables. Once inside, she could see several horses, they didn't seem too pleased to be awakened from their sleep. Rosanna quickly looked each horse over and decided on the medium sized, black quarter horse; the horse looked strong, which was what he needed to be for the long journey ahead.
King Charles had insisted that his daughter have the privilege to learn how to ride. So even against Queen Aria's wish the king paid for his daughters riding lessons which turned out to be a great help to her escape at this moment.
A riding saddle was on post nearby. She lifted it up and struggled to put it on the horses back. The first time she missed and while the horse jumped in surprise all of his roommates laughed, or at least that's what it sounded like to Rosanna, who had stopped to listen for anyone that might have heard the noise. After sufficient time she decided that it was safe so she attempted to put the saddle on again, this time it worked.
“There we are.”
Rosanna whispered as she rubbed her hands on her cloak.
She didn't feel right just taking off with somebodies horse and saddle so she wrote a note with the paper she had brought and slipped it onto one of the nails on the horses stall door.
To whom it may concern,
Ask at the palace for pay for your Black horse and very fine saddle.
With all thanks,
A friend.
Rosanna hoped that the note would be discovered only after she was far away.

Rosanna had been traveling for one week, passing village after village. She was very much in need of a wash and worse than that she was out of food, but she did not want to risk being recognized
On the seventh day of her journey Rosanna woke up very early to get some extra riding done for she had determined that by the end of that day she would be far enough away from her home that she could get a bed and some food and not be bothered with being recognized .
By noon her stomach was groaning angrily at her and the sun was merciless, she couldn't even keep the sweat from dripping down her face.
Suddenly, Rosanna stopped to listen to a curious sound. She couldn't quite make out what it was. Very cautiously she continued on and the sound became increasingly louder it resembled some sort of banging and intertwined was the sound of shouting.
The sound became so loud that she was positive it was coming from just over the hill in front of her. Rosanna dismounted and walked up the hill then knelt down and peeked over the side what she saw was some kind of mining camp. Her only experience with these was from stories that she had been told and from what she had heard the men were crazed and evil; not at all a pleasant place to be.
Suddenly a strong hand grabbed hold of Rosanna and pulled her to her feet.
“What you be doing here Missy?”
She could not form any words for as soon as she laid eyes on the hairy old man fear had gripped hold of her tongue. His language was most disgraceful and his bodily odors were worse.
